Gently lift the plate up and off, there will be some resistance as it is held in place by four gentle adhesive strips. From there, take out the four plastic tabs that are holding the drive in place in the enclosure. At this point, you can easily lift the drive up and out of the enclosure.

Works well so far and looks great. The only complaint is that it is LOUD. Makes a constant humming sound which may increase.



The other complaint is that it's not a 5TB drive - it's a 4.5TB drive. I understand that not every drive ever has the capacity stated on the box due to system files. But this drive started with 500GB already in use.
